Gokul K S

Gokul K S is a PhD Scholar at Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Madras, working with Dr. Sonika Gupta. He has an M.A in Politics and International Relations (2017-’19) from the School of International Relations and Politics, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and B Com (2014-’17) from Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram. His M.A dissertation was on “Politics of Visual Narratives: Israeli-Lebanese Conflict and Political Cinema” under the supervision of Dr. K M Seethi. He is currently working on Visual Narratives and Tibetan Exiles.

Gokul is a feature writer for Global South Colloquy on issues of cinema, culture and the politics of the Global South. He writes a column in Countercurrents on contemporary global and Indian politics. Gokul is one of the editors of Tibetscapes, the online webpage of Tibet studies collective of IIT-Madras. He is also a film critic for Cinema Paradiso Club and Prathipaksham. His blog can be reached at www.lanthanbathery.wordpress.com
